Today, we did another fun pine cone craft! This was a craft that required hot glue, and lots of help from mommy, but the result was these super-cute pine cone owls!
How to Make Pine Cone Owls
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Project time: ~15 minutes

Inspiration: Pine Cone Owl Ornament from Repeat Crafter Me
Supplies:
- Pine cones
- Pink, blue, and brown felt
- Scissors
- Buttons
- Yellow pipe cleaners
- School glue
- Hot glue
- Yarn
Preparation instructions:
- Cut out felt pieces for eyes and wings. There are instructions at Repeat Crafter Me, but I just eyeballed it and cut them out. If your children are older, they can do the cutting, but I went ahead and did it because we were short on time.
- Cut the pipe cleaners short (about an inch and a half) and bend into the shape of a beak.
Step by step instructions:
- Allow your kids to pick out the colors for the button eyes. Since there’s not a TON they get to do in this project, this step is a good one to not skip!
- Have your kids glue the blue felt to the pink felt, then the buttons to the blue felt. Let dry.
- Hot glue (YOUR JOB, NOT YOUR KIDS) the eyes, beak, and wings to the pine cone.
- Tie the yarn to the top to hang.
