How to Make Bath and Body Works Foaming Hand Soap for as low as $0.50!

This post may contain affiliate links. That does not mean you pay any more for items linked here,
it simply means I receive a small amount of money if you make a purchase. Thank you for your support!

I discovered an amazing trick recently that I just have to share with you!  If you’ve been buying foaming hand soap, you won’t want to miss this!  I was buying it too, but then I read a little article about how to make foaming hand soap on your own.  I was shocked!  It seemed so simple…it COULDN’T be that easy!  But then I tried making my own foaming hand soap and it WAS!

Come learn how to make foaming hand soap and save LOADS of money.

To think…stores charge the exact same amount for a bottle of foaming hand soap as they do regular hand soap, but you can get name-brand foaming hand soap for as little as $0.50!  Here’s how!

How to Make Foaming Hand Soap

Supplies:

1 Foaming Hand Soap Bottle (You can purchase these, but I just used an empty bottle from my previous non-thrifty days)
1 Bottle of regular soap (If you’re going for the “good stuff”, pick up a bottle of Deep Cleansing Soap from Bath and Body Works.  To get the lowest price, shop during their semi-annual sale and get 6 bottles for $24.)
Water

Step 1: Squirt about 2 tablespoons of regular soap into the foaming hand soap bottle.

Step 2: Fill the foaming hand soap bottle almost to the top with gently running water.  The idea here isn’t to make a bunch of bubbles.

Step 3: Using gentle motions (not shaking!) mix the soap with the water until all the soap is mixed.

Step 4: Put the lid back on your foaming soap bottle and enjoy!

Do you see how easy it is to make your own foaming hand soap?  Like I said, I’ll bet you’re wondering why you didn’t hear about this sooner!

(Wondering how it can work out to $0.50/bottle?  If you buy the soap at the semi-annual sale when it’s 6/$24, you’re getting the bottles for $4 each.  Each bottle will make (at least) 8 bottles of foaming hand soap making each of those just $0.50!  Even if you buy them at full price, it’ll only be $0.81/bottle!)

Come learn how to make foaming hand soap and save LOADS of money.

What about you?  Do you think you’ll ever attempt to make foaming hand soap for your family?

Yes! I plan to try this. Where can you buy the empty bottles? I bought a bottle full at Walmart with the idea to resuse it like this, but I’d much rather get an empty one.

If you search Amazon for “Foaming Hand Soap Bottle”, you’ll find several. This one is my favorite. So pretty!! http://www.amazon.com/Cuisipro-83758000-13-2-Ounce-Foam-Chrome/dp/B007JT27BK/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1421862946&sr=8-9&keywords=foaming+hand+soap+bottle

Hobby Lobby sells them fairly cheap.

I think I’ve seen them there for about $1/bottle. Their regular soap is that same price. So if you used Hobby Lobby’s soap to make this recipe, it’d be SUPER cheap! Great tip! 🙂
