Did you know that March is National Craft Month?? I didn’t know until this year either and I’m super excited about it. I mean, who WOULDN’T want one more reason to do some really awesome crafts? In honor of National Craft Month, I’ve put together 8 great ways to celebrates! Some of these are to do with your children, but some are just for you!
1. Celebrate National Craft Month with a Craftithon:
Yes…I did just say craftithon. It’s like a marathon…only with crafts. Pull out all your unfinished projects, pop in a good movie (or three) and craft away. Make it a mini-vacation and craft all weekend long! You’d better believe I have enough unfinished projects to last the whole weekend!
2. Celebrate with Treasure Trash:
What’s treasure trash? I’m glad you asked! It’s…well…whatever you want it to be! Growing up, my mom had a box of treasure trash she’d pull out on rainy days. Inside, we could find things like broken crayons (that we could then melt!), milk jug lids, ribbons, pipe cleaners, magazines, paper plates, coffee filters… and whatever else she’d stuck in over time. It was SO much fun! It was true crafting for a child. Nothing was directed or dictated. There were no examples or rules to follow. It was just time to be creative.
3. Celebrate by taking a Class:

7. Celebrate by Passing it On:
This idea makes up for the last one…right? Do you have some craft supplies that have been sitting in a box for over a year? Two years? Five? Take this opportunity to pass them on. 8. Celebrate by Organizing:
What better time to make your craft room beautiful than during National Craft Month? Pick up a couple of shelves at a thrift store, give them a coat of spray paint, and get busy! Get your craft room (or area) organized so that you’ll WANT to spend time in it for the rest of the year.
