Christmas is coming at gift shopping is in full swing! With Black Friday right around the corner, I’ve been looking at gift ideas so I can watch them to see if they go on sale. I sat down with each of my kids this week and had them give me gift ideas and then completed their Amazon wish lists. There were quite a few overlapping items that they ALL wanted, so I went ahead and made a list for ideas for the three of them together. I thought these were some really neat ideas, so I wanted to share them with you! So here it is…the Gift Guide for Elementary Aged Kids (boys and/or girls–they should ALL like these gifts).

Gift Guide for Elementary Aged Kids
Air Dry Clay: Craft items are always a hit at our house, but this is something they don’t have yet. This clay is cool because they can make things and leave them out to dry without having to bake them. I think my kids would love this!
Kanoodle: This game, reminicent of Tetris looks really neat! It looks like it would be fun for the whole family.
Osmo – Detective Agency: A Search & Find Mystery Game: I think I’m as excited about this next one as the kids are! Osmo comes with a device that you hook up to your tablet (it will work with their Kindles, but also works with iPads) and then “travel” the world by pointing the device at the included book/maps, looking for clues to solve mysteries. There are several different levels of difficulty so it is fun for all ages.
Adventures in Odyssey Subscription: I wanted to include some “clutter-free” items in my gift guide for elementary aged kids, and this is a good one! Adventures in Odyssey teaches great life lessons, Bible stories, and history. They have a special deal on their subscriptions right now where you get an entire year of access to all the audio dramas, many videos, and Clubhouse magazine, as well as the Adventures in Odyssey Children’s Bible for $107.88. You can also purchase a monthly subscription for $9.99/month. If you’re not a “subscription” kind of person, you can purchase the audio CD’s as well, either through the Adventures in Odyssey website or on Amazon.
The two linked below are two of my favorites!
LED Light Box Tracer: My 9 year old loves drawing and the other two kind of follow her lead. They saw this and thought it would be good to have while drawing and “making copies” of pictures they’ve made.
Action Camera: If your children like watching YouTube videos as much as mine do, they’ve likely seen someone using a GoPro. Well, GoPros are pretty pricy, but this kid version is only $35.97 and gets pretty good reviews! My kids think this would be a great addition to their YouTube channel! Be sure to grab an SD card if you go for this gift.
Audible Subscription: Here’s another subscription service all your kids will love! With an Audible subscription, you get a new audio book each month. Such a fun gift!
Trekking the National Parks Board Game: Watch for a good deal on this board game and grab it if you can! It’s a highly-rated game where players are trying to visit each of the National Parks and gain information about them along the way. It looks really fun!
Insulated Tumbler: I bought one of these cups for myself several months ago and my kids love it so much, they all decided they wanted one of their own! They keep your drink cold for hours and hours! It’s amazing!
Hand Operated Drone: Drones can be tough to buy for kids because they’re not exactly easy to operate. My 9 year old could probably handle one, but my 5 year old might break it the first time he used it. That’s why, when I found this one, I was excited! Instead of using a controller, it has sensors and flies itself. The kids (or let’s be honest, adults) can play “catch” with this hand operated drone without ever touching it. Definitely fun for everyone!
Wild+Free Subscription: I have one last subscription recommendation for you. The Wild+Free subscription is $19/month and with that, you get a digital content bundle, downloadable prints and resources, handcraft tools, nature journaling tutorials, a print magazine, and SO. MUCH. MORE. It’s the perfect subscription for your kids if they’re nature lovers!
Crystal Spa Lab: This one might be a push for older boys, but my 5 year old had fun with it! It has the option to make a bath bomb, lip glosses, and soaps. We got this one to review a while back and all the kids enjoyed it and it was educational at the same time. Win/win!
I hope that this gift guide for elementary aged kids will help you in your shopping this year! Do you have a gift for this age group that’s been a real hit in your family? Share about it in the comments!
