Homemaking 201 Review

As many of you know from reading my blog for the past few years, homemaking is something that doesn’t come natural to me.  I have to really work to keep up and not become discouraged.  This past week, I received a copy of Homemaking 201 from Family Vision Films.  I was so excited!  I purchased and watched Homemaking 101 a couple years ago and found it so motivating. I couldn’t wait to see what Homemaking 201 had to offer.

This past week, I had a chance to review Homemaking 201. After watching it, I felt...

When I sat down to watch Homemaking 201, I felt welcomed into Jennifer Ross’s home by her sweet, gentle spirit.  Throughout the video Jennifer teaches homemaking skills that may come natural to some, but that I struggle with at times.  She shares ideas for recipes, hospitality, homeschool organization, training our sons and daughters, how to calm a crazy day.

The part I appreciated the most was where Jennifer shows the contrast between her unfocused day and her focused day.  I saw so much of myself in the unfocused day.  It stirred my heart to realize the damage I do to my children and my husband when I don’t have a plan or goal for the day ahead.

The best thing about Jennifer’s teaching throughout the video is that there is no judgement for those who are struggling, only the meek attitude of a teacher.  Although I hardly consider Jennifer to be an “older” woman, she is truly living out the calling in Titus 2.

They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

If you struggle as I do with the day in, day out frustrations of being a homemaker, be sure to check out Homemaking 101 and Homemaking 201.  I hope you will receive the same encouragement as I have received in watching them.

Homemaking 201 is currently on sale for $3 off the regular purchase price!  This sale only lasts a few more days, so be sure to check it out soon!

*Disclaimer: I received Homemaking 201 free to review.  I was not paid for this review.  These opinions are all my own.
