It’s that time of year again! Time to open the windows, air out the house, and get your spring cleaning done! It may not be fun, but it will make your home more welcoming and you’ll feel better about living there. Here are some spring cleaning tips to get you started as well as a Spring Cleaning Checklist (find it at the end of the post!) so you can make sure you don’t miss a thing.

Spring Cleaning Tips

Ceiling fans are easy to forget and easier to ignore because they’re just so difficult to clean. It doesn’t have to be that way though! Check out these tips from One Crazy Mom and get those fans cleaned in no time!

Spring Cleaning Tips

Cleaning out your fridge is something best done on a weekly (or at least monthly) basis. But if you’re anything like me, deep cleaning doesn’t happen anywhere near that often. Here are some refrigerator spring cleaning tips from The Soccer Mom Blog to make those occasional cleanings easier.

Tips for Spring Cleaning - How to clean your fridge

Wiping down walls is one of the things we often don’t think about unless we’re doing a big cleaning day. Smudges, dirt, food, and unknown smears are generally easy to wash off with a little soap and water or a magic eraser, but what about crayon? Head over to What’s Up Fagans for some tried and true crayon cleaning tips!

Get those walls nice and clean! Spring Cleaning Tips!

Windows are another easily neglected part of the home. Dirt gets trapped and builds up in the sill and on the frame and it takes some work to get them clean. Get them clean in a flash with these tips from Newlywed Survival.

Spring Cleaning Tips

One thing you don’t want to forget as you’re wiping everything from ceiling to floor is your garage and car. This list from Redhead Baby Mama will help you go through all the steps you need to get your car and garage in tip top shape!

Spring Cleaning Tips for your car and garage

With all the spring cleaning, it’s a great time to declutter and organize. Use these basic tips from Cook Eat Go to declutter any room!

Don’t just clean the inside of your house this spring, get outside and get that cleaned up as well! Check out this list from Oh My Creative to make sure you don’t miss a thing!

Spring Cleaning Tips

These next two aren’t exactly tips, but I thought they were definitely worth adding to the list.

This list from The Soccer Mom Blog includes 10 things you’re probably not cleaning often enough. I can tell you that I’m definitely not cleaning these things often enough!

Spring Cleaning Tips

Lastly, I wanted to include this complete cleaning schedule because if we can keep on top of our house cleaning throughout the year, spring cleaning is much easier! This list from DIY Candy includes tasks for multiple times a week, weekly, monthly, ever 3-6 months, and annually. It’s very well thought out and comprehensive.

Spring Cleaning Tips

There are so many great tips above, but I think the BEST tip is to just jump right in and start cleaning! To help you get started, you can download and print this Spring Cleaning Checklist. I divided this list differently than many I’ve seen. I didn’t really want it divided by room like most I’ve seen, I wanted it divided by cleaning supplies. So if I’m sweeping, I get ALL my sweeping done at once. Or if I’m dusting, I get everything dusting while I know where my supplies are. Lol! So without further ado, here is your printable Spring Cleaning Checklist.
