Wow!  Another week gone by.  Things around here have slowed down a little bit finally.  We went on vacation last week and really enjoyed being out enjoying God’s creation with family, but we’re also glad to be home!  I came back refreshed and ready to tackle a few projects that have been needing my attention for quite some time now.  I’m also feeling ready to take a step back from things and relax a little bit more.  I realize I can’t do it all and when I try, things end up not going so well.  Anyway, next week is my oldest’s birthday (how is it possible that H is going to be 5???) and after that, I plan to get more into a routine where we can all enjoy life a little more!

Come link up your family-friendly posts with us!!

This week, our top post was a lot about enjoying life.  It was from Wholesome Joy Photography and was entitled, My Week in Pictures.  Check it out!  There were definitely some lovely photographs in the collection!  This one was my favorite…

I’m working on a project that will be a gift for my soon-to-be five year old if I can get it done on time!  She’s fallen in love with her Beauty Redeemed dolly that I made for her and carries it around everywhere.  I had crocheted a little blue dress when I first started remaking dolls that was nice, but not something I was going to sell and that’s what H’s doll has been wearing.  I decided to make a new (more girly!) dress to give her for her birthday.

I’m making up the pattern as I go along.  This is four out of the six total tiers there will be when it’s finished.  Then, I’ll be making the bodice.  I’m thinking it will be cream with a pink rose either at the sleeve or waist.  Haven’t decided yet.  🙂  It’s turning out quite adorable if I may say so myself!

I just LOVE your cute pattern Jessica! Such a cute skirt. I love to crochet too, but must admit it’s been a while. You’re a ROCKSTAR Crocheter for sure!
