Do you have a little gymnast in your life? Mine is 7 years old and has been obsessed with tumbling and gymnastics for the past three years. She’s tried many different flips and tricks since this interest began and we decided for her 7th birthday to get her a gymnastics mat so she’d have a safer surface on which to tumble. She’s now had it for almost a year, so I thought it would be a good time to post a review.
Gymnastics Mat Review
I did quite a bit of research before purchasing a gymnastics mat. I knew I wanted something big enough that my daughter could do the flips she wanted to do, but small enough that she could carry it around herself and it could be stored nicely. This gymnastics mat from Best Choice Products on Amazon fits that perfectly. It’s 6’x2′ and only weighs 5 pounds. It’s 2″ thick which gives a nice, cushioned surface to practice on. The mat also has carrying handles which are really helpful! This mat should last my daughter several more years before she outgrows it, so it was definitely a good choice for her size.
My daughter had used her mat weekly, if not daily for the whole year. I was a little concerned about how it would hold up with so much use, but it’s stayed in great condition! It doesn’t have any worn spots and still looks almost like new!
Overall, this was a great purchase for us. If you’re looking for a gymnastics mat for your child that is convenient, lightweight, and cute, this one is a great choice!
